Cool Running

This 1990 feel good biker flick staring Andrew Divoff as Bones, Bubba Baker as Bear and James Gammon as Ironbutt. This is the first biker film that did not portray bikers as low life morons or crazed psycho killers and rapists. This film with the help of good writing and acting of like quality; was a really good time with a few hearty laughs added in.

It is the story of the town rich guy trying to pull a fast one on the inconvenient biker who surely isn’t smart enough to get it. Surprise, surprise. This is fun, fun, fun. The movie is complete with a quick look at the Sturgis Run, lots of fist fights a weenie bite and the whole nine yards. Throw in the biker gets the girl, saves the day and your ready to roll.

I love that it shows bikers in a light not usually seen, brotherhood, honor, pride, gentle in love and caring of a good cause. It showed the side of the biker lifestyle that not everyone knows exists. As in any other sector of life there are truly hero’s that ride among us and yes some may even wear a patch. It is a must see flick.

I give this movie five shots out of six.
